The Last Mrs. Parrish

by Liv Constantine

This book was featured on Reese Witherspoon's instagram and my sister tagged me in the post so we could add it to our list. I didn't hesitate to use my Amazon Prime and get it ASAP. I thought the cover and title were so intriguing that I couldn't wait to start it.

5/5 Cups from Joey

A deceitful yet satisfying read about a woman named Amber who works her way into the lives of Jackson and Daphne Parrish. Amber, who's done her research, strategically befriends Daphne Parrish at the gym with untruths about having a sister who passed away from the same disease as Daphne's sister. Daphne instantly took a liking to her with their extreme commonalities and they became fast friends.

All the while Amber had a plan to get to Daphne's husband Jackson who had money, power, and devastatingly good looks. Due to her tumultuous past, Amber is longing for the easy life that she feels she is so deserving of. After a lot of time and effort put into driving the wedge between the two of them, Amber finds herself in a serious predicament.

The header on the cover reads "Some women get everything. Some women get everything they deserve."

This is so appropriate for this book. In the end only one woman reigns victorious. I found myself cheering on the victor throughout. This is a great novel and I love that it is written by two sisters who spent countless hours on the phone and over email plotting the pages that I feverishly flicked through.

If you have already read this book please leave your feedback! I would love to hear your favorite plot twists, characters, or just general thoughts on the literature.
